  • We had a splendid week at Aft Cottage. The cottage is stunning and a great location for exploring the area. From taking the car ferry across to Dartmouth, and also going to explore Dartmoor and the ancient Wistman Woods!
    I loved the little touches at the cottage such as tennis balls left for your dogs to play with!
    I would highly recommend Aft Cottage for your stay!

  • We stayed here with our friends, May 19th for a week. Lovely cottage, well eqipped with everything you. Need to make your stay very comfortable. Loved the area and bus stop outside cottage meant you could leave the car and enjoy the countryside.
    Weather was beautiful so garden a lovely place to sit and chat and have a glass if wine. Highly recommend Aft Cottage, would love to come back.

  • Spent a glorious week at Aft Cottage which we could not fault. Well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Local transport excellent as buses are nearby for Brixham, Paignton & Kingswear. Handy for Dartmouth via the ferry and excellent NT properties nearby. Plenty of places to eat if required especially fish in Brixham plus all popular supermarkets within easy reach. Certainly a very comfortable week helped with stunning weather in May.

  • Absolutely loved my stay at Aft Cottage. Parking is perfect, garden area totally secure and private. The double bedroom I chose was the one with french doors out to the garden which was lovely first thing in the morning. Bathroom next door well fitted out and spotlessly clean. The living area is upstairs and there is a view of the sea and the sunrise from the kitchen area window and the sunset over the farmland on the sitting room side. Comfy furniture and really well equipped kitchen . Buses run from with yards of the cottage to Kingswesr, Brixham and Paignton. Good regular service. Loved the area loads to see and do and lovely walking too. My dogs had an absolute ball and I really loved my short holiday. Hope to return next year, thanks Ben great communication so very helpful and welcoming. 5* all the way .

  • Just come back from a fantastic stay in aft cottage. We stayed with our two sons (11 and 6) and the grandparents stayed with us for a few days. The cottage is perfect and furnished to a very high standard, all your needs are catered for and then some (dog tags with the cottage address). We don’t have a pet and I was slightly worried as my husband is allergic to dog hair but it was spotlessly clean and no reaction at all.

    We will be recommending to friends and family.

  • We loved our stay at Aft Cottage and immediately felt at home, as did our 4 year old cockapoo. Nothing but praise for the relaxing cottage and location. We enjoyed some fab days out, far too many to mention, but highly recommend the local Manor Inn at Galmpton for the steak night/quiz on Thursday! Many happy memories .   • On our way home from a lovely week staying at Aft Cottage. We were blessed with wonderful weather but also we couldn't fault the accommodation at Aft Cottage. Every possible need catered for. Lovely accommodation and garden. Excellent location between brixham and Kingswear. So easy to jump on the bus right outside.   • Just arrived home after a weeks holiday in this fabulous cottage. All the family absolutely loved every detail of the accommodation, Ben and jo thought of everything to make a perfect holiday. I was brought up in Paignton so personally I know the area and all the special places to visit. And to come home to such amazing accommodation and beautiful views was really amazing. Have already recommended it to some friends and family. Will hopefully return at some stage.

  • Myself, my partner, sister and brother in law stayed at this beautiful cottage for 7 days in June and had such a lovely week, we wished we’d booked a second week. The cottage is so homely and comfortable and had everything we needed, it was like home from home. The location is perfect for days out if you’re walking or driving and the garden is lovely and relaxing too if you want to stay at home.   • Just returned from a weeks holiday in this perfect holiday cottage. It is beautifully kitted out, with absolutely everything thought of, even for the dogs! Our Sprocker puppy had the time of his life. We did the walk to Mansands every morning, which was just beautiful, even spotting a seal close in shore on our last day.   • We have just spent a lovely week at Aft Cottage. The cottage is beautiful and has sea views from the kitchen. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great bus service from just outside the cottage into Brixham where there were some lovely places to eat and drink. It’s in a perfect location for trips out to Torquay and Dartmouth (by car ferry). We can highly recommend this cottage.

  • Just returned from a week staying in Aft Cottage. Fabulous spacious cottage with everything you can think of to make a great holiday in a peaceful area. The views are amazing from all of the windows. The garden areas were lovely. The back garden is enclosed and safe for children to play in.

    Ideal location for touring around Torbay. Close to Brixham, Kingswear (for the ferry to Dartmouth), Paignton and Torquay. Lovely beaches close by and lots of places to visit.

  • We’ve just returned from a weeks stay at Aft Cottage which is just outside Brixham opposite a farm with beautiful countryside views . It’s centrally located and easy to get out and about . It is well equipped and was comfortable for our weeks stay. Master bedroom really spacious in the attic, living room / kitchen on the middle floor and two bedrooms on the ground floor . The downstairs lobby was really handy and a nice area for our old dog a couple of times to rest whilst we continued exploring . The parking at Aft is a bonus, it’s directly outside The back gate. Lots to do and see in this areas . Beautiful walks and scenery . Had a lovely week .

  • We had a great week at Aft Cottage, despite being unlucky with the weather. The cottage seemed very spacious and well equipped for our family of 5.

    We loved the location, there is so much to do nearby that we could’ve stayed another week. We had several trips to Brixham and Dartmouth (kids loved the lower ferry), as well as the local beaches, Berry Head, Nat Trust properties, Babbacome model village, train and boat trips, and Pennywell Farm where we saw the adorable miniature pigs.

  • Just back from an amazing week and stay at the beautiful Aft Cottage. Just what we needed after a difficult past several months due to lockdown restrictions.

    Such a spacious cottage with stunning views, coupled with a beautiful back and front garden. The owners have thought of everything, even down to an automatic hand sanitiser station as you walk into the main entrance.

    We only used our car twice, since there are bus stops right outside the cottage which take you to all the main places. I would highly recommend Brixham, Kingswear and Dartmouth. The Torbay Dayrider bus ticket for £10 gives unlimited travel for 5 people all day.

    We are so impressed that we have rebooked for next year! Thank you for a great holiday.

  • Spacious accommodation - everything you could possibly need has been thought about. Amazing views (especially from top floor) around the bay and peeps of the river from the lounge. The garden is a perfect size for bbq (provided) and is walled, creating a feeling of privacy. Comfortable beds with quality bedding and ample towels provided. The cottage is in a perfect location for the Dartmouth ferries as well as the rest of Torbay. If you’re after a ‘home from home’ for your Devon holiday, this really is a far better option than even a high end caravan and certainly worth every penny. Particularly impressed with the owners efforts in making the cottage COVID secure.

  • This is my 3rd stay in wonderful Aft cottage. We absolutely love South Devon, in particular Brixham and Dartmouth. The cottage is well located near all the attractions that this part of Devon has to offer. The cottage is within easy access of Dartmouth via Lower/ Higher ferry crossings. Aft cottage is beautiful, it is clean, well presented and fully equipped. We loved the sea views. Also like the gated parking area. Perfect cottage, location & holiday. Thanks for another great stay.   • had a really lovely stay, even during these Covid times, all adjustments that needed to be made were and were clearly communicated, but it didn't dimish the enjoyment of the holiday, our dog Truffle enjoyed herself, and all the extras provided were brilliant. It was nice to have off street parking with lots of places within easy access, all in all a great holiday had by all 3 of us and the dog

  • We had a wonderful time in Aft Cottage. We are a family of 4 including the dog and we didn't didn't feel crampt or on top of each other.
    My daughter loved the double bed and used the downstairs bathroom as her ensuite as we had our own ensuite in the top bedroom.
    WiFi was fast and all amenities were easy to use.
    The back garden is enclosed and the solar were gorgeous at night time.Neighbours are very friendly .
    Only down sides were that we weren't allowed to live there forever and if you find stairs a problem then this cottage isn't for you.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed our week at Aft Cottage. There was myself, my son and three of his grandparents and our dog. We took two cars so it was great that there was a garage for one car and secure gated parking behind the cottage for the other. Wonderful enclosed garden for the dog. The cottage was modern and well presented. Very well equipped. Very clean . Grandparents had the top bedroom with en-suite shower room. Good powerful shower and great views of the sea. Grandad in other double room on ground floor with access to garden. I had twin room with son. All rooms had comfy beds, plenty of wardrobe space and quality bedding. Kitchen and lounge had everything needed. Netflix a real bonus ( weren’t in much but my son watched it early morning and in evening) nice views of countryside from lounge. Even though on a road you couldn’t really hear traffic . Great touch having dog tags with aft cottage address on it.
    Location of cottage was great. We had some great walks to man sands beach, scabbacombe beach, Kingswear. Short drive to Dartmouth via ferry . Boat trip from Dartmouth recommended. Suggest trip to Salcombe and Burgh island . Berryhead nature reserve nearby. Also Canonteign falls , Cockington and Babbacombe close by. So much to do within short distance of the cottage. Takeaways nearby in Brixham. Do deliver if prefer rather than collect.

  • What a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location.
    Everything had been thought of in the cottage down to dog tags and poo bags!
    We used it as a base as we were meeting up with family in the area on some days but also enjoyed cooking as a family and having a few games evenings in.
    (We will be buying the game ARTICULATE! We all loved it!)
    Local pubs were dog friendly and there were so many lovely walks.
    We would highly recommend St Mary’s Beach (quite a lot of steps down though) stunning views and relaxing beach.
    We would also recommend a walk around Berry Head Nature Park. Again, stunning views, a bird hide, light house and cafe.
    We had a wonderful relaxing week away from the madness of work pressures.

  • A fantastic week at Aft Cottage despite the rain! Really looked forward to coming 'home' . Everything you could possibly need provided . Fresh flowers, biscuits and milk waiting on arrival which was a nice surprise. Lovely bright, spacious modern house very clean and cosy. Comfortable beds and pillows. powerful hot shower ...Great little suntrap garden. Very well situated and easy access for Brixham. Dartmouth. Torquay and paignton. Ferrys and steam trains and beautiful beaches right on your door step. Surrounded by Beautiful countryside I truly didn't want to go home !

  • What a fantastic week we had at Aft Cottage. Family of 4 with a dog and the grandparents. This cottage was perfect, the grandparents could hide in the massive king size suite in the loft while we all stayed downstairs on the ground floor and didn’t wake them in the morning. The cottage was so well equipped, there wasn’t one thing missing that we needed. It was clean, spacious and well looked after. The views from the Lounge and kitchen area are stunning. The welcome book helped us plan our week with lots of dog friendly suggestions. The location is great, you can get a bus just outside to Brixham and there’s loads of attractions just a short drive away. We had Chinese delivered and shopped in the local supermarkets! The cottage has some lovely touches, we loved the doggie artwork and the little touches like the tags for the collar. We would happily stay again. Everything from booking; right up to the help in sending us back a DVD has been amazing! Thank you!

  • The cottage was a joy to come home to in the evening. Everything was spotlessly clean and everything you needed was there. The weather wasn't great but there was so much to do in the area with the caves, the round Robin trip, the model village, the craft centres etc that it really didn't matter. We crammed a lot in but could have spent another week there to see more. Beautiful area and beautiful cottage.

  • This really is a home from home property with stunning views over the local countryside and sea. The cottage is extremely well equipped and furnished to a very high standard. This is probably the best accommodation we have ever stayed in.
    Well located to visit a number of points of interest.
    Secure garden is perfect for the dogs and the idea of holiday identification tags is a good idea.
    Very good value for money and hope to return in the future.

  • We have just spent a week at Aft Cottage and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a large, well-furnished holiday home. It is close enough to allow very quick access to Brixham but far enough away to allow cracking rural views and sunsets that you just wouldn't get in the busy town centre just down the road. Although there is a road outside it didn't bother us one bit as it doesnt seem over-used (unlike some of the roads in the area which seem constantly blocked). The house itself is clean and cosy, with more than enough room for me, my husband and three hulking teenage boys. The kitchen is very amply stocked with plates, glasses, pans etc. and there was nothing missing that we needed. Great value for money.
